One of the coolest things Astra pulled off here was letting you spray paint directly onto a moving 3D T shirt, all running smoothly at 60 FPS. It uses raycasting, which sends an invisible ray through your cursor to figure out exactly where it hits the fabric. It then paints that precise spot while continuously accounting for the shirt’s movement and deformation. Not too long ago, building something like this would have required senior level graphics knowledge and weeks or even months of experimentation.
