Something I find helpful as someone who is building web applications for the first time is creating a long scrollable components page. It makes it much easier for me to understand how things will look visually, but also piece them together and imagine some of the workflows in a more high‑fidelity way. Once I'm comfortable with the design language and all of these little micro interactions then it just becomes a job of piecing it all together.
