This is a design post classified by AGK Intelligence as 3D & WebGL (a tool drop), kept by the Design Radar because it carries real work, not commentary.
TextureCraft An open source 3D texture painter written in pure Rust that also runs in the browser TextureCraft lets you paint PBR materials onto your models in layers with masks, bake mesh maps and export textures for any engine. Strokes continue across UV seams, and the layout will feel familiar to texture artists. It runs on macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, and in the browser through WebAssembly. Mesh maps bake on the GPU about 12x faster than on the CPU, path traced rendering is about 25x faster, and 8K texture sets stay responsive. It reads glTF, FBX, USD and Alembic, among others.
